Preliminary election results indicate that the bond issue on the ballot for the Easton Valley Community School District fell short of the 60% approval needed to pass on Tuesday. This means we will not move forward with the proposed facility projects at this time.
While the solution the district presented was not the right fit for our community right now, we sincerely appreciate the valuable feedback we received throughout the planning process.

Tonight at 5:00 our School Improvement Advisory Committee for the JH/HS will meet at the school. This meeting is open to the public with guidelines similar to a school board meeting. Today is election day. There are two important items on the ballot. Easton Valley is looking to fill four school board seats. Candidates who submitted paperwork include:
District 1 - Walt King
District 2 - No Papers Submitted
District 4 - Chris Matthiesen
At Large - Nick Roe, Joe Kilburg, Brandon Marburger, Angela Doane, Lance Abernathy, Seth Lawson
There will also be two questions on the ballot asking voters to consider supporting the bond referendum. With 60% support we will plan to further engage the community in determining the final plans to build a field house and convert our existing gym into an auditorium dedicated to our performing arts and music programs. Don't forget to get to the polls today to cast your vote. Thanks.

REMINDER: On Tuesday, residents in the Easton Valley Community School District will vote on a proposed bond issue. If it’s approved, the district will move forward with:
➡️ Construction of a new fieldhouse that will feature competition courts and an indoor track.
➡️ Renovation of the high school gymnasium to become a performance center for the district’s fine arts and music programs.

On November 7, Easton Valley residents will vote on a bond issue. If this received approval from at least 60% of voters, the district will move ahead with a series of facility projects to provide much-needed extracurricular space.
