After a thorough investigation, law enforcement and school administration has CONFIRMED that a FALSE ACCUSATION was made about a threat. The individual reporting the threat admitted that it was not true. Thank you for your understanding while we put student and staff safety 1st.
Latest Update: Our school day has started smooth and continues to operate as usual. All parties are cooperating with police as they complete the investigation. We believe we are nearing resolution very soon. More info will follow throughout the day. Thanks for your patience.
Out of an abundance of caution, we feel compelled to share that Easton Valley CSD was notified of an unsubstantiated rumor involving a threat directed toward our JH/HS that was supposedly shared on social media this weekend. Law enforcement will be continuing to investigate and will have a precautionary presence at the JH/HS building in the morning. In conjunction with law officers, we are taking every precaution to ensure everyone’s safety. School will be remain in session, as regularly scheduled. We will keep you posted on on any new information as it emerges. Thanks.
Tuesday the River Hawks volleyball team host the Midland Eagles at home in a “Pink Out”! There will be bake sale items, a few pink out T-shirt’s for sale, silent auction baskets and a serving contest! Proceeds will be given to the Iowa City Children’s Hospital. Come out and help us “ take flight against cancer”!

Varsity Football game @ Janesville has been moved up to 6pm.
Today in Computer Systems and Networking, the students are learning the different parts of a computer. They are taking the computers apart and they will have to put them back together. As they are learning hands on about how a PC works.
Regardless of how this game turns out, we could not be more proud of the heart shown by our River Hawk football team tonight!
