Today we’re recognizing NHS Reporter, Sydney McNeil. Sydney’s individual service project was raising money and canned goods to support the local food pantry. Her efforts were instrumental in bringing in over 200 items for the center! Thank you, Sydney, for leading and being such a great example for others!

Today we are recognizing NHS Chapter Vice President, Keeya Kunde. Keeya’s individual service project was creating birthday bags for the students in our Riverhawk Backpack Program. Each bag contained everything needed to celebrate that special student! Thank you, Keeya, for leading and being such a great example for others!

Maddi gave presentations in the JH leadership classes to help students better understand how their words and actions impact others. GUESS WHAT?! During the deconstruction of Preston Elementary last week, we were able to locate a time capsule behind the 1927 cornerstone. We will be coordinating a special event to involve students, staff, and community members in the opening of the time capsule. Stay tuned...

5th graders starting their first day at School of the Wild.
With the deconstruction of the old Preston Elementary School underway, we will be making bricks from the building available to members of the community. They will be placed in a stack outside the fenced area as early as this afternoon. Please feel free to take one or two bricks per person, if interested.
