Easton Valley Families,
This morning we received a message from local authorities that a swatting call was being sent out to many schools throughout our state and nation. A swatting call is a hoax that is sent to an organization in an attempt to threaten and or trigger a law enforcement response. In conjunction with the tip we received from law-enforcement, we did receive a threatening message from out of state. The incident was reported to law-enforcement, who confirmed that this message was the same message that was being sent to many schools throughout the country. Since this was confirmed as a swatting incident and our school was not named in the threat, law enforcement advised us to continue school operations as normal. We would like to thank law enforcement and all members of our community for continuing to partner with us to keep our schools safe.
