There have been some new developments with the greenhouse being built behind the commons of the Easton Valley High School. The construction was started in August of 2024 and has been progressing slowly but surely since then. Dirt was moved, and concrete was laid, but construction slowed during the winter months. The framework has just been built as of late, and hopefully, the greenhouse will be completed before the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
Unfortunately, due to the delays in the building process, a majority of the greenhouse management class will not be able to work in the newly constructed building for long as they will be graduating in May. Construction was supposed to come to a close before the end of 2024 to give the senior class, who had done a great deal of work advocating for the greenhouse, a chance to work within it.
The greenhouse will be used in various agricultural classes to educate students about plant growth. It will give students a hands-on growing experience and hopefully interest more students in agriculture!
