EV Publications 7th grade hopes everyone had a great holiday! The Macy’s Day Parade was exciting to watch this year! Some celebrities there were Jimmy Fallon and the country group Dan and Shay. There were various floats this year, some that stood out were the Bluey float and the Marshall (Paw Patrol) float. Among the performances at the parade was T-Pain singing some of his older hits.
Families celebrate Thanksgiving in many different ways. Some of these may include praying prior to eating or going around the table and saying what they’re thankful for. Then they eat their delicious Thanksgiving feasts. Some of the most common foods found on our tables include turkey, mashed potatoes (sweet potatoes), stuffing, pumpkin pie, ham, and different kinds of rolls. Some of the foods we had for our Thanksgivings that aren’t so common include Snickers salad, sugar cookies, lemon and butterscotch pies, and olives. Some Thanksgiving traditions post-meal include card games, other games, and spending time with family. This could be talking, catching up, gossiping, complaining, or just hanging out and having a good time. A huge part of the holidays is watching the sports games on TV and rooting for your favorite team. We hope everyone has a great rest of their year and holiday season!
