On October 13th, two events took place in Preston. The first was the Fireman’s Breakfast held at the Preston Firestation from 9-12. At the breakfast, they served pancakes, sausage, and omelets. To drink they had orange juice, coffee, and milk. The fireman and their families helped to serve the food to the community. There was a very large crowd, as usual. Volunteers from the Preston Trailblazers 4H club also helped at the breakfast by picking up plates and trays and helping with the dishes. The fireman and their families helped with the cleanup after breakfast was over.
The other event was a craft fair held at the Preston Town Hall. Vendors had to get there early to set up before the event started at 9 am and went on until 1 pm. People who attended the craft fair were able to walk around and visit all kinds of stands. There were vendors and visitors from all over. Out of the different stands, they had candle stands, other crafts, and food stands. Some of the food options were snacks, baked goods, and freeze-dried candies. One particular thing they had was freeze-dried pickles.
